🏎️ HIGHEST Depreciating Exotics of 2023
PLUS: Porsche Launches an Electric...BOAT, F355 Dream Drive, and MORE
We’re all about buying exotic and sports cars the RIGHT way. This issue dives into a really important topic - highest deprecating cars. The number one rule of buying a sports car is to wait until the car hits the bottom of its depreciation curve.
Do you look at depreciation curves when buying an exotic or sports car?
As a follow-up to last issue’s poll, we saw only 45% of readers are fans of the coming all electric Miata. That’s expected as the jury will be out until the test drives come about.
This is a fascinating video from a fantastic YouTube Channel. They do a deep dive into the values that are being lost on certain exotic and sports cars. I won’t ruin the whole video, but the one that stood out to me is the Maserati MC20 with a SEVENTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR first year deprecation. On the plus side, that’s going to mean they are super cheap soon as I love this car. Check out the video for the full list and math.

BMW has announced that all 50 units of the ultra-exclusive 3.0 CSL have been delivered to their respective owners. To mark the 50th anniversary of the M Division, BMW created the 3.0 CSL, which is the most powerful car with an inline-six engine that the brand has ever produced. Priced at around €750,000, the 3.0 CSL boasts a 560-horsepower engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. Porsche is making waves in the boat business with the launch of an all-new electric boat, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air. This luxury boat is powered by the same powertrain as the upcoming Macan EV, making it a high-performance and environmentally friendly option. The boat boasts a high voltage lithium-ion battery and a powerful electric motor, providing it with 500 kilowatts of power or 536 horsepower. One of the standout features of the electric boat is its DC fast charging capability, which can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. The range of the boat will depend on the speed at which it is driven, with a cruising speed of 22 knots (about 23 mph) for an hour or about 28 miles. So, if you want to experience luxurious and eco-friendly boating, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air may be the perfect option for you.
"Unstoppable! Louie Mattar's Perpetual Motion Machine Drove 6320 Miles Non-Stop in Epic Journey!"
Louie Mattar, an inventor and engineer, drove his modified 1947 Cadillac Fleetwood on a non-stop journey of 6,320 miles from Los Angeles to New York and back again in September 1952. The trip, which was completed without any gas stops or pauses for traffic lights, was a testament to Mattar's imagination, determination, and technical skills. Mattar spent seven years and $35,000 creating an extensively modified Cadillac that was capable of sustaining the journey without stops. The car was equipped with on-board systems for camping, including a chemical toilet, a shower, a refrigerator, a kitchen sink, and a bar. It also had a mobile telephone and a tank that held 50 gallons of water. To stay on the move, Mattar invented ways to maintain and refuel the car on the go, including retractable platforms for working under the hood and airfields for refueling. The Cadillac made three refueling stops, which were executed while on the move. Mattar's "Fabulous Cadillac" is now owned by his grandson and is on display at the San Diego Automotive Museum. The car is a testament to Mattar's ingenuity and his obsession with creating a vehicle that could travel long distances without stopping.
